Product Review: Moringa O2 Herbal Shampoo with Argan Oil

Since I began to color my hair it has become important for me to use the right shampoo. I use conditioner also, but shampoo is an essential for cleaning and nourishing my hair with the damage I have done. My hair’s main problem is dryness and breakage from the bleaching over the last few years. I am also acutely aware of hairfall at the end of every bath time and I do notice that my hair becomes thinner and thinner.

I searched for shampoos and  conditioners that will solve my hair problems. I went from one product to another every year until I found Moringa-02 Malunggay Herbal Shampoo with Argan Oil on Sample Room. I was able to get both products but sadly my points weren't enough so I opted to buy the shampoo instead.

On the product’s body are listed benefits: minimizes hairfall, revitalizes weak and damaged hair, strengthens hair, more manageable, moisturizes and softens. I’ve been using the product for more than a year and I was glad it addressed my problems. I found no traces of hair fall on the drain and and it made my hair manageable too. When I combed my hair, no strands came away with the comb although I did found hair on the floor but it was very minimal. It was different from previous products I’ve used before.

On the part where it moisturizes and softens hair I was a little conflicted because when it’s summer time, my hair becomes stringy and frizzy. I’m unsure if it was caused by having color-treated hair that may have contributed to the state of my hair. However, I did experience how soft and moisturized feel my hair was during cooler months. Apart from appearing stringy and frizzy on hot months, I did see my hair didn’t look dull though. Unlike when I was using my old shampoo, my hair was flat out dry and dull-looking so I’m happy the product was able to revitalize my hair still.

Talking about its scent, this shampoo has a gentle and clean fragrance. I have fine, thin hair with natural waviness so the product easily soaks through the lather. The product rinses well. Others may have an issue on the fragrance but to me, I like it. The shampoo’s fragrant liquid has a greenish color. Since this is a herbal product, the fragrance is subtle unlike other commercial brands which as I mentioned was fine for me. However, if I found myself in a smoke-belched area, well, the smell of smoke would cling on the hair so its always best to freshen up at the end of a work day.

The product containers were hard plastic bottles especially those 200ml types. I hope they’ll come up with a softer squeeze bottle that it won’t especially give my poor thumbs problem. It’s hard to squeeze when you want to make sure the liquid has flowed out and no longer clinging to the walls of the containers. Also I’m glad they’ve added the 25ml product line because it was pretty bulky bringing 200ml bottles during long travels.

I’m looking forward to using their other products that say will promote hair growth which I like to experience because despite having minimized hairfall now, I also would like to have a thick hair or just an improvement in the thickness.

  1. I've never heard of a moringa shampoo before! Interesting! :) There are so many good benefits we can get from Moringa, so I think this product is good too.

  2. I'm currently dealing with hair fall right now and it stresses me out every time I see hair on the floor or even when I take a bath, and when I comb my hair. I've done a lot of research and read a lot of reviews on certain products until I tried moringa o2's therapy oil. It didn't stop the hair fall but I can say that it helped lessen it. Now after reading your review about the shampoo, I actually want to try it ASAP! I hope it'll work well for me too! :) xoxo
